AP Exam 2024 Schedule

2024 AP Exams will be held in May over two weeks from May 6-10 and May 13-17. Collegeboard has officially announced the schedule for the AP Exams 2024. Exams shall start on Monday, May 06, 2024. AP exams shall be conducted in two shifts. Morning shift exam shall start at 8:00 AM and afternoon exam shall start at 12:00 PM local time.

The 2024 AP Exams will be administered in schools over two weeks in May: May 6–10 and May 13–17.

AP Exams Start Times

Exams have local start times and can begin up to one hour after the official start time. During the regularly scheduled exam administration, exams can begin between:

• 8 and 9 a.m. local time for morning exams;
• 12 and 1 p.m. local time for afternoon exams; and
• 2 and 3 p.m. local time for AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism Exams.

When will AP Score 2024 come out?

AP scores are announced within two months. For 2024, AP scores will come out in July 2024.

How Long is AP Exam?

AP tests are normally 2-3 hours long. Most exams are 3 hours long. though most are closer to three hours. Between the two sections, there is one break.

What are the Sections in AP Exams?

There are two sections in AP Exams. First section is MCQs and Second Section is Free-Response section. In humanities subjects, free response section contains essay writing and is normally longer than the MCQs section. For example, both the AP English Language and AP English Literature tests have one hour of multiple choice followed by two hours of essay writing.

For science, the multiple-choice section can be longer than free response. Biology and Chemistry both have 90 minutes of multiple choices. Biology’s free response is 90 minutes (including a reading period) but Chemistry’s is 105 minutes—slightly longer.
