Bluegrass Community and Technical College Acceptance Rate, GPA, and Admission Requirements

BCTC's RN program requires attendance at an annual preadmission conference where the program coordinator shares program-specific information, and explicitly requires the conference CERTIFICATE to be included in the application packet - not just attendance logged informally. A student should treat securing and safely storing this certificate as a concrete checklist item with its own physical deliverable, not just "showing up," since a missing certificate appears to be treated as an incomplete packet element.

BCTC explicitly states "it is your responsibility to order your official ATI TEAS scores and to confirm that they have been received by BCTC before submitting your packet" - with a specific verification method (logging into KCTCS self-service, searching "test," and screenshotting the official results) provided BECAUSE this is a known failure point. A student should treat score verification as an active, required step they personally complete and document, not an assumption that ordering scores automatically means BCTC has received them in time.

BCTC explicitly states that if official transcripts from EACH college a student has attended aren't delivered by the deadline and included in the packet, the ENTIRE packet becomes incomplete and non-ranked - not partially reviewed or ranked with a penalty, but excluded from ranking altogether. A student with multiple prior institutions (even ones where no credit was earned) must track down and submit transcripts from ALL of them, since a single missing transcript from even a brief or unsuccessful prior enrollment can disqualify the entire application from consideration.

BCTC explicitly retains application packets for students who were declined OR who declined their own offered position until October 1 each year, retrievable in person at The Den (Newtown Campus) with photo ID. A student reapplying in a future cycle should retrieve their existing packet within this window rather than rebuilding all documentation from scratch, since much of the original packet (transcripts, certifications) may still be usable depending on currency requirements for the new cycle.
