Hastings College Acceptance Rate, GPA, and Admission Requirements

Hastings College uses a block-style semester schedule in which professors and students focus on fewer courses at a time than at a traditional semester school. This structure - unusual among Nebraska's private liberal arts colleges - promotes deeper engagement per course, more hands-on learning, and a different relationship to academic pacing. Hastings College does not run its own clinical nursing program - instead it has built a network of institutional partnerships that create multiple distinct entry points. The most significant for 2025-26: a Direct Admission Pathway to Bryan College of Health Sciences BSN program (with a significantly discounted Hastings tuition of ~$12,500/year during the Hastings phase), and a 3+1 partnership with Creighton University's accelerated BSN program at the Hastings campus, in which students complete three years at Hastings before transitioning into Creighton's one-year accelerated nursing program while remaining in Hastings. Both pathways have different admission criteria, cost structures, and prerequisites - they are not interchangeable. Hastings includes the cost of books, an iPad, and a two-week study away experience in the base fee structure for all students - eliminating three cost categories that catch students off guard at most schools.
