Admission priority runs: New Hampshire residents first, New England Regional Student Program residents (CT/MA/ME/RI/VT) and those within 50 miles of either GBCC campus second, everyone else third. In space-limited programs like Nursing, Surgical Technology, Veterinary Technology, or Welding, this order can genuinely affect your odds, so know where you fall and apply as early as possible if you're in a lower-priority tier.

Real preference weight goes to current/former CTE high school Health Occupations students, Granite State PARTNERS or MyTurn participants, active LPN/LNA/CNA/MA/Paramedic/EMTs, and former military medics or corpsmen. These aren't automatically inferred - submit the specific supporting document (license copy, DD Form 214, JST, or CCAF transcript) directly with your application if any of these apply to you.

Nursing requires a TEAS score of 66%+ with an ATI Proficiency Level of II or higher, taken within the past 2 years - and you're allowed up to 3 attempts per 12-month period. Schedule your first attempt well ahead of the application deadline so a lower-than-hoped score still leaves room for one or two retakes before files are reviewed.

Veterinary Technology offers real "early decision" consideration for strong applicants who complete their full file - including the mandatory director interview - well before the April 30 deadline, and gives specific special-consideration points for veterinary hospital or shelter experience.
