CIA Stokes Scholarship Program

CIA offers Stokes Scholarship program for undergraduate and graduate students. The scholarship covers up to $2500 in tuition fee and other expenses including traveling, meals, lodging and an additional salary. After completion of your degree program, you will be offered a job at the most renowned organization, Central Investigation Agency, CIA. This is a lifetime opportunity for undergraduate scholars.

Applicants can apply for the CIA Stokes scholarship program latest by June 30, 2024.

The current annual Stokes Scholarship application window will run through 30 June 11:59pm EST.

You will be required to work at CIA, performing intelligence tasks related to your major. Additionally you will get hands on experience and knowledge of the most updated technologies the world has not seen yet. IT graduates might work with advanced computer systems and information technology, while finance graduates might be involved in analyzing the budgets for worldwide operations.

Deadline to Apply for CIA Stokes Scholarship

Application deadline for CIA Stokes scholarship program is June 30, 2024. The application process starts on March 01 every year and closes on June 30. Students will be required to go through medical and security clearance process to be eligible for the scholarship program.

Requirements for CIA Scholarship

CIA is open for all US Citizens coming for wide range of backgrounds. So you may apply if you are a US citizen and above 18 years of age.

You are eligible for Stokes Scholarship if you are:

  • U.S. citizens (dual U.S. citizens also eligible to apply)
  • Willing to move to the Washington, DC area
  • Able to complete security and medical evaluations
  • Registered for the Selective Service
  • In need of financial assistance: A maximum of adjusted gross annual household income (AGI) of $120,000
  • If not listed as a dependent for the previous tax year, the gross annual income (AGI) ceiling is up to $50,000.
  • Accepted to or pursuing  a 4 year degree at an an accredited college/university
  • At least 18 years of age by September 15th
  • At least a 3.0 GPA on a 4-point scale
  • Ability to work two 90-day tours is the preference; however, one 90-day tour is the minimum requirement

CIA Stokes Scholarship covers

Being a CIA Stokes scholars, you will enjoy a wide range of benefits including

  • CIA will pay you Annual salary
  • You will get an award of up to $18,000 per calendar year for tuition, mandatory fees and books. Those pursuing STEM careers can get a tuition fee of up to $25,000 per calendar year.
  • Partial lodging reimbursement
  • Reimbursement for transportation costs between school and Washington, DC
  • Daily allowance for meals and incidentals during summer tours
  • Health insurance
  • Federal retirement
  • Paid time off, as well as sick and holiday leave
  • Guaranteed employment at CIA after graduation. After graduation, all scholarship recipients must work at the CIA for a period of 1.5 years per year of paid scholarship received. So if you have received a scholarship for 4 years, you are required to work with CIA for 6 years. For 2 years masters degree scholarship, you will be required to work for 3 years.

Who can get CIA Scholarship?

If your academic record is excellent, especially your performance in the subjects related to your desired college major, then you might be an ideal candidate for the CIA Scholarship program, as CIA looks for those who have excellent command on their subject. Relevant practical or job experience will be a plus point. So, if you have worked somewhere, or can demonstrate your subject command through your projects, thesis, or social and community activities do include it in your application.

Above all, you must be motivated to work for the CIA. You must be willing to sacrifice and work for the national cause and national security. Your proficiency in any foreign language will be a plus point.
