GMIS STEM Scholarship 2024

Applications are open for Great Mind in STEM (GMiS) Scholarships 2024. The scholarship will be awarded to the applicants pursuing Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or Health Sciences undergraduate or graduate degree programs. The applications are open for students enrolled in the coming fall semester at universities or colleges in the United States.

The application for GMIS STEM Scholarship can be submitted online latest by April 30, 2024. Selected candidates can receive up to $5000 award in scholarship. GMIS scholarship is a great opportunity for underprivileged college students pursuing STEM degree programs. The aim of the scholarship program is to enable the young leaders prepare for excellent careers in the technological environment.

The GMiS Scholars Program has awarded over $5.6 Millions to over 2,000 outstanding and deserving undergraduate and graduate students. GMIS Scholarship Program offers three types of scholarships: Corporate/Government Sponsored Scholarships, Special Recognition Scholarships, and In Memoriam and Personal Tribute Scholarships.

Eligibility Criteria for GMiS STEM Scholarship

  • Minimum GPA OF 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for merit based scholarship.
  • Excellent academic achievement and leadership qualities.
  • Applicants must be of Hispanic descent and/or must demonstrate significant leadership or service within the underserved community
  • Enrolled in a STEM or health-related undergraduate or graduate degree program for the upcoming fall semester
  • Enrolled at an accredited 2 year or 4 year college/university in the U.S. or its territories
  • A merit-based scholarship ranging in amounts from $500 to $5,000 or a non-merit based scholarship ranging from $500 – $1,000.

How to Apply for GMIS STEM Scholarship

Application can be submitted online. The application must be accompanied by the following documents:

  • Application
  • Personal Statement 
  • Resume
  • One Peer Letter of Recommendation from a friend, classmate, lab partner, roommate, teammate, or fellow member of a campus or community organization
  • One Letter of Recommendation from a Faculty, mentor, counselor, principal or dean
  • Official Transcript with the imprinted seal or signature of your college or high school (Transcripts must be in English).  Transcripts must indicate a cumulative GPA based on a 4.0 scale.

Selection Process
