NMSU-Alamogordo offers a full Bachelor of Science in Nursing on-site, an unusual four-year offering for a campus classified as a two-year college. It's limited-entry: you must complete all prerequisites and meet with an Academic Advisor to map your schedule before applying, then pass a designated entrance exam and submit a complete application package. Start advisor meetings a full year before you intend to apply, since prerequisite sequencing determines your actual entry timeline.

Some classes are held on Holloman Air Force Base, and non-military students must submit a Holloman AFB Access Request Form to the NMSU-A Admissions & Records Office to receive a base vehicle pass. This runs through base security clearance timelines outside the college's control - request it well before the semester starts, not during add/drop week, or you risk being denied entry to your own class.

NMSU-A doesn't require SAT/ACT scores, but if your high school transcript or GED/HiSET results don't provide enough information for a clear admissions decision, the college can require test scores as a fallback.
