Robeson Community College Acceptance Rate, GPA, and Admission Requirements

General admission is open-door (100% acceptance, no essay, no Common App, test-optional) - don't waste weeks perfecting an application narrative nobody will read. Instead, spend that time nailing your course placement documentation and, if you're still in high school, enrolling through NC's Career and College Promise so you bank free transferable credits before you even walk in the door.

Nursing, Radiography, Surgical Tech, and other Health Science programs run on a competitive points system completely separate from general admission - TEAS is no longer required, but your GPA in exactly four courses (BIO 168, BIO 169, ENG 111, PSY 150) must hit 3.0+ just to be reviewed, then points stack for A's vs B's vs C's in those courses plus college science (BIO/CHM). Front-load your schedule so those specific courses come first and you're earning A's, not B's, in them.

The ADN application awards up to 2 points per qualifying reference (max 6 points) - but only references from high school teachers, college faculty, or employers count. References from coworkers, friends, clergy, or mentors earn zero points. Line up three qualifying references early and tell them explicitly what the form requires.

Through the RIBN partnership with UNC Pembroke, you can earn your ADN at Robeson while concurrently working toward a BSN, finishing the bachelor's in year four. It requires three separate, simultaneous applications (Robeson, UNCP as a degree-seeking student, and the RIBN application itself) plus a 2.8+ cumulative GPA - start this in year one, since late entry only gets priority for the RN-BSN bridge, not the RIBN track itself.
