Wor-Wic Community College Acceptance Rate, GPA, and Admission Requirements

Wor-Wic's nursing programs (CPN/ADN) use a points-based competitive admission system where the TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills) score is worth up to 10 points and current healthcare licensure/certification is worth up to 3 more. Because these are the most controllable, improvable components of the point total, students should take the TEAS at Wor-Wic itself (recommended by the college) with enough lead time to retest if the first score is weak, rather than treating it as a late-stage formality.

These aren't approximate windows; Wor-Wic's admission packet explicitly warns that failure to submit official transcripts by the admission deadline results in zero points for that category. Build backward from the specific Friday date each cycle rather than a general "apply in spring/fall" assumption, since missing it by even a day can zero out an otherwise strong point total.

ADN graduates get up to 70 direct-transfer credits into University of Maryland system BSN programs, OR can complete 16 additional specified credits at Wor-Wic and transfer 34 more to Wilmington University for a BSN. These are different course sequences - a student should decide which four-year pathway they're targeting while still choosing electives at Wor-Wic, not after graduating, since retrofitting credits after the fact is harder than planning ahead.

Effective Fall 2025, all CPN and ADN admits must complete a background check and drug screening via SentryMD/PreCheck before program entry - failure to complete this by the designated deadline results in loss of the student's seat, even after they've already competitively won admission. Treat this as a hard post-acceptance deadline, not an afterthought.
