Minnesota West Community and Technical College Acceptance Rate, GPA, and Admission Requirements

Minnesota West isn't one uniform experience: Wind Energy Technology runs at Canby, healthcare programs cluster at Luverne, technical trades sit at Jackson and Pipestone, and liberal arts/athletics center at Worthington. Since college admission doesn't guarantee admission to a specific program or campus capacity, name the target campus explicitly on the application and in any advising conversation, especially for capacity-limited programs like Wind Energy.

High schoolers who earn 9+ Minnesota West credits through PSEO or REACH concurrent enrollment and continue full-time can receive $1,000 per term ($2,000/year), but must re-apply as a New Student and submit the scholarship application by August 1 for the following fall. Because PSEO records don't automatically roll into financial aid eligibility, missing that August 1 window - not the general admissions deadline - forfeits the award even for otherwise-qualifying students.

The Wind Energy AAS and diploma explicitly require comfort climbing to 300 feet and compliance with company, state, and federal OSHA rules as a condition of completing the program - not just future employment.
