Mercer County Community College Acceptance Rate, GPA, and Admission Requirements

MCCC requires the TEAS (Version 7) to be taken in person at its West Windsor campus; remote testing is not permitted, and results from other testing sites will not be accepted under any circumstances. Register directly through the MCCC-specific TEAS registration path (Program Type: TEAS for Nursing Students, School: Mercer County CC NJ) rather than taking the exam at a more convenient location and assuming it will transfer.

All nursing applicants must attend a Nursing Information Session prior to applying, and MCCC explicitly encourages attending as early in your coursework as possible rather than right before your application deadline. Email nursing@mccc.edu to register for the next session in your first semester, since this session functions as a genuine prerequisite step, not an optional orientation.

MCCC's nursing prerequisites require a C or higher in most general education courses, but BIO 103, 104, and 201 specifically require a C+ or higher to progress - a stricter bar than the general course requirement. If BIO 103 is a struggle, prioritize retaking it to hit the C+ threshold specifically rather than accepting a plain C, which won't meet the actual requirement despite technically being a passing grade.

MCCC has formal partnerships with Rutgers University and Felician College that let you complete an RN-to-BSN degree physically on Mercer's own campus after finishing your ADN - no need to relocate or commute to a separate four-year campus. If a BSN is part of your long-term plan, research which of these two on-campus completion programs fits your schedule and cost preferences before you finish your associate degree, so the transition is seamless.
