Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) Acceptance Rate, GPA, and Admission Requirements

General admission to RVCC does not guarantee nursing acceptance - a separate clinical program application is required after prerequisites, and Somerset/Hunterdon county residents or workers get priority placement, with out-of-county applicants only considered for remaining seats after all in-county applicants are placed. If you're not currently in-county, understand you're in a genuinely secondary applicant pool.

RVCC's Fall RN program has a specific Early Application Deadline (January 9) and a separate Late Deadline (May 1) - applying within the early window, rather than waiting until the late deadline, gives you a real structural advantage in a competitive, seat-limited program. Treat the early deadline as your actual target, not the late one as a safe fallback.

RVCC's Honors College application window runs January 1 through July 1 for all Fall admissions, and eligibility requires meeting three of four criteria (including a 3.5+ unweighted GPA or 87%+). This is a distinct, time-boxed application separate from general admission - mark the window specifically rather than assuming rolling eligibility.

RVCC participates in the NJ Community College Opportunity Grant, covering tuition and most fees (up to 18 credits/semester) for qualifying students - and explicitly includes nursing- and occupational-therapy-specific fees, not just standard tuition. File FAFSA or the NJ Alternative Financial Aid Application first; eligible students are automatically considered, no separate application needed.
