Triton College Acceptance Rate, GPA, and Admission Requirements

Triton hosts one public and two private partner institutions on-site - National Louis University, Benedictine University (with an accelerated one-year RN-to-BSN cohort starting in January and August), and Eastern Illinois University - each offering bachelor's or graduate degrees taught on Triton's campus. You apply directly to and graduate from the partner institution itself, following its specific admission process and deadlines, not Triton's. Decide which partner fits your major early so you can track two separate application timelines in parallel.

Triton's catalog explicitly flags certain programs and certificates (including Nursing) with a selective-admissions marker, distinct from the general application, transcripts, placement exams, and orientation required of every student. Complete your general admission steps first, then separately pursue the program's own selective-admission requirements - finishing general admission alone does not enroll you in a marked program.

Triton explicitly encourages attending an information session for the Nursing Degree and LPN-to-RN programs before applying, specifically to understand both what's expected of applicants and how the program actually functions. WEI offers tuition-free, one-year-or-less credential training for residents of Bellwood, Broadview, Elmwood Park, Forest Park, Hillside, Maywood, Melrose Park, Oak Park, River Grove, Rosemont, and Stone Park. If you're targeting a CNA credential through WEI specifically, you must be accepted into the CNA program first - applying to WEI before securing CNA program acceptance wastes a cycle, so sequence these two applications in the correct order.
