University of New Mexico-Main Campus (UNM) Acceptance Rate, GPA, and Admission Requirements

UNM's official admissions page states plainly: "Essays, portfolios or recommendations are not necessary for admission to The University." That's it. The freshman application requires a completed application form, official high school transcript, a $25 non-refundable fee (or an approved ACT/SAT fee waiver), and nothing else. Test scores from the ACT, SAT, CLT, or other standardized tests are not required and optional; if submitted, they should be sent from the testing agency (ACT code 2650, SAT code 4845). Rolling admissions are available with freshmen able to start in summer, fall, or spring. The priority consideration deadline for fall is March 1, and the final fall deadline is August 1. Four graduate and professional school categories at UNM are the only ones in the state: the School of Law (the only law school in New Mexico), the School of Medicine, the School of Architecture and Planning, and the College of Pharmacy.
