If any of your prerequisites were taken outside Shoreline CC, submit your equivalency documentation the moment you're eligible - waiting until close to the deadline risks your courses not being verified in time to count toward your application.

Shoreline requires the NLN-NEX to be taken "after completing most of your prerequisite courses, but within 1 year of the application period deadline" - a narrower, more specific timing rule than a simple "score valid for one year" policy. Plan your NEX test date backward from your specific target application deadline (not from when you happen to finish prerequisites), since testing too early relative to that deadline could push your score outside the valid window by the time you actually apply.

Shoreline's 11-quarter part-time RN program runs January 15-April 3 admission only in alternating years (2025, 2027, 2029, etc.), and separately, an expanded 11-quarter full program option beginning Fall 2025 enrolls 32 students only every other year. If your target entry point is the part-time track specifically, confirm the exact alternating-year schedule for your intended start date well in advance, since assuming annual availability could mean missing your actual application window by a full year.

Shoreline states explicitly (as of a recent policy update) that it is "not reviewing or accepting applications for students seeking to transfer mid-program at this time," with current options limited to the full 6-quarter/11-quarter RN programs or the 4-quarter LPN-RN Advanced Placement program.
