The HIM bachelor's is structured so a student completes the 2-year Health Information Technology associate program and sits for the national RHIT exam first, then moves into the bachelor's-completion HIM portion with its own separate application period (historically a roughly six-week window in February-March) and a hard CSU/IGETC-completion deadline the spring before fall entry. A student should treat the HIT associate and HIM bachelor's as two sequential admissions decisions, not one continuous enrollment, and plan general-education completion around the bachelor's-phase deadline specifically.
